The Event:

On Friday, June 2nd, 2018, Detroit Passport to the Arts will be hosting a happy hour at Hunt Street Station. However, this is no normal happy hour. It’s the beginning of a partnership between community and the arts. Filled with live music, food, drinks, and art, this is an event that marks the hopeful beginning of many art events at Hunt Street Station.

Music will be performed by Wei Yu, the principal cellist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and Michael Malis, a prominent Detroit Jazz pianist and composer. Other confirmed vendors include: Nikki’s Ginger Tea, Kold Kreationz, Chocolate Curlies, and Hunt Street Station’s very own tenant, B.Jacklean.

Doors for the event will open around 6PM with music starting at 7PM sharp! Tickets are $15 currently, $20 the day of the event, and you can find those here. It’s an event you truly won’t want to miss and a great start to a night out in Detroit.

Future Partnerships:

Hunt Street Station is hopeful this will mark the beginning of more events that focus on bringing in art and music to create community. Although we are a coworking space at the core, we have a unique building and opportunity to provide experiences to Detroiters and our tenants.

Being in Eastern Market we have seen the impact of art and culture in a neighborhood and for businesses. This excites us as we continue to try and be creative in how we approach our space.
